Propylene Glycol [USP/ BP grade]
Propylene glycol is a colourless, odourless liquid which is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 21 CFR § 184.1666, for use as a direct food additive under the conditions prescribed. It is approved by the U.S. FDA for certain indirect food additive uses. Propylene Glycol is used in cosmetics and as an excipient (inert solvent or carrier) in pharmaceuticals.

Whilst the product is supplied to us as BP/USP grade once we repack it reverts to a standard grade as we have no certified repack operation. We do however take all care and precautions. Hence we do not supply BP certification and we can not advocate use in food application.
